The HLC Take on the miracle morning
Our society is always on the move, constantly focused on the future and forgetting to live in the moment. I want to share a well-known routine that can help you start your mornings off right. It's inspired by the Miracle Morning technique popularized by Hal Elrod.
The practice involves the use of the acronym SAVERS. I'll walk you through each step and provide some scriptural context to guide you in adopting this method.
SILENCE: Take a moment at the beginning of your day to calm your mind and set a peaceful tone for the day ahead. (Isaiah 26:3-4, Colossians 3:15)
AFFIRMATION: Speak words of encouragement and empowerment to yourself and your goals, with precision and significance. (Proverbs 18:20-21, Proverbs 10:11)
VISUALIZATION: Envision yourself reaching your goals; visualize accomplishment. Who is with you? What do you see, hear, feel? (Luke 14:28, Philippians 4:6)
EXERCISE: Getting active in the morning can help increase your energy and uplift your spirits for the day ahead. (Proverbs 31:17)
READING: Spend dedicated time reading something inspiring and encouraging. You may even opt for audiobooks and podcasts. (Luke 11:34-35)
SCRIBING: Keeping a journal can be a powerful tool for organizing your thoughts, setting goals, and reflecting on your progress. It's like a mental cleanse that helps you focus and start each day with purpose. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Now that you understand the process, you might be asking yourself, "How can I put this into action?" Let's begin gradually. Remember, progress is made through small victories that can eventually lead to big success.
Begin by evaluating your current morning habits. Next, define your specific goals - what do you hope to accomplish with this new routine? Tailor this approach to fit your unique lifestyle and preferences. Take small steps. Establish a morning schedule. Strategize your mornings for success. Monitor your development. How are you feeling before beginning this practice? How do you feel once you've put it into action?
Embarking on a new journey requires patience, so be kind to yourself. I hope that this morning routine will kickstart a more successful and effective day for you. I'm excited to hear about your experience with this approach!
